There is no scratching, pricking or coarseness to it at all. The mid-weight fabric has a wonderful drape and a comfortable, broken-in look to it already. There is no stiffness with this sweater as there are with some.  The sweater is generously sized to fit comfortably.

The cardigan has a V-neck and two set-in pockets with ribbed detailing along their tops. It fastens with six variegated buttons with swirls of brown and stormy gray.  The colors of the buttons also mirror the colors of the tweed slubs present in the yarn to bring the two materials together.  The buttons are made of recycled plastic which not only reduces the amount of raw materials needed to make a new product, but cuts back on what has to be thrown away.

This cardigan is knit using a DK (double knit) weight yarn which is finer than worsted weight and therefore has more stitches per square inch. The fabric is often softer and more flexible as well.
