How do I commission a painting?
The first step is to email me photographs of your pet. The more examples I have, the better and more detailed the portrait will be. The best photos will be at eye level with your pet. To get started, you can use the Contact tab at the top of the page or email me directly at me at: leslie@lbowmanstudios.com .
What size will the picture be?
Oil paintings can be either 8" x 10" or 11" x 14".
Other media will be 5" x 7" on an 8" x 10" paper. (I can also make larger sized pictures; we can discuss size and price based on your interests.)
How long does it take to create a picture?
For an oil, please allow 5-7 weeks.
For other media, please allow 10-14 days.
Is a deposit required?
Before beginning, a 50%, non-refundable deposit will be required. After I have finished working, and you have approved the final version of the picture, the balance will be due.
How is payment made?
Billing will be done via Paypal Invoicing. I will send the invoice to your email address where you can use any form of payment linked to your Paypal account to make payment.
Offline payments such as checks can also be accepted. Checks must clear before work begins or product ships.
How much is shipping?
Continental U.S. shipping for 8" x 10" or 11" x 14" canvas is $30.00 per canvas. International shipping for 8" x 10" or 11" x 14" canvas is $35.00 per canvas.
Shipping for other media is $7.00 within the Continental U.S.
Shipping is done by USPS.
